In 2013, the city of Evanston will celebrate its 150th anniversary. Although there will certainly be FUN had by all throughout the year, we here at Funville wanted to see if we could visit the idea of FUN in the Past, Present, and Future. We proudly present this year’s contest theme as “Bringing Generations Together.”
To earn this year’s coveted cash prizes, we want to see multi-generational projects. In other words, your FUN idea should be something that everyone, regardless of age would enjoy experiencing in our community. So, as you’re coming up with your project, always keep in the back of your mind the following: Would both a 10-year old and an 80-year old have fun with my idea? If the answer is yes, then it’s time to apply. Essentially, it’s the same rules as last year, though we’ve opened up the applicant pool to include everyone, regardless of age. The only requirement is that you live in our city (Evanston). We are also limiting the number of entrants to three, so come up with your best ideas and submit them via our website. |
|
Your submission should include both a written explanation plus a visual of the idea in action. It could be a simple sketch, photo, video, slide deck presentation, etc. Be sure to include the problem/issue, your plan, and the solution in your written explanation. Entries will be judged based on creativity, feasibility, and adherence to the ethos that fun is the best way to change behavior and ultimately build a community for the better.
